Due to the advancement of science and technology, the playback of music by good speakers has indeed reached a very, very high level, and the difference between good speakers and poor speakers is also huge.

I boldly speculate that you have a set or even several sets of stereos in your home, and there are all kinds of them, such as mobile phones, ipads, computers, special stereos, and so on. Typical pop songs, we use mobile phones + earphones to listen to, especially the post-00s and post-90s, they can't listen to music without earphones.

But is this a good sound? I personally don't think so. So, what does good sound look like? Is the face value high? Is the price expensive? Is the setup complicated? Every fan has a different answer. I think you may be interested in these aspects, so let's go through them one by one.

The audio source is what we usually know as MP3, CD, DVD-AUDIO, SACD, Blu-Ray and so on. These all have special players, among them, SACD, DVD, AUDIO, Blu-Ray (Blu-ray) are the best, and the specifications reach 24bit, 192khz bit rate.

The audio sources of each of the above formats have special machines and software. Among them, MP3 is too low-end, and CD is 16bit, which can theoretically store 20-20000hz, which is in line with the highest experience index of the human ear, but at present this format is too backward. Especially the high frequency part has huge loss.

DVD-AUDIO, SACD and Blu-Ray are currently the highest formats, reaching 24bit, 96khz or 192khz, covering 10-50000hz no problem, SACD players are now very popular.

Amplifiers look very simple, and almost every manufacturer has them, but the really good ones must have decades of history. In a short period of time, I want to make the best amplifier. It seems that I can, but it is not.

For amplifiers, the first thing to look at is the signal-to-noise ratio. This indicator, for those who are not old-fashioned enthusiasts, will not pay special attention.

What is the signal-to-noise ratio?

In layman's terms, the sound is low-noise and low-noise. The lower the noise, the clearer the music of course. If an amplifier can achieve a signal-to-noise ratio of 120db, then the sound pressure of the music it emits can reach 120db, and the noise it emits is lower than 120db. We can't hear it at all, and all we hear are music signals. This is the indicator that we need to pay attention to when choosing amplifiers.

The second is distortion, and the lower the distortion, the better. Generally, it is 0.001% or even lower. Basically, the best machines have distortion below 0.001%. Another, for the rear stage, is the damping coefficient.

For tube PA amplifiers, there are not many that can achieve a damping coefficient of more than 50. The signal-to-noise ratio rarely reaches 100db, so the tube amplifier basically has no advantage in high-end audio.

Then there's bandwidth and power. For modern transistor electronic amplifier, bandwidths up to 5-100000hz are not a problem. It is not difficult to achieve 500 watts of power. When we choose a machine, we try to choose the one with higher power. For example, the rated input power of the speaker is 100 watts, and we try to choose 200-300 watts.

There are Class A and Class AB power amplifier, commonly known as Class A and Class A and Class B. A class machine, less crossover distortion, less sound distortion, complete signal, round and natural sound. The output current is large, which is especially effective for difficult-to-push speakers. Sometimes with a class AB 200 watt speaker, class A may solve the problem with 100 watts, and the sound is better.

For the front stage, the general advanced system is essential, very, very critical, and a good front stage is very difficult. The magnification is generally 10-20db, which is 3-5 times, but it is very difficult. Generally recommended pre-amp and post-amp kits, the tone and amplification are coordinated.
